Ismail haniyeh is a political leader of Hamas. Since 2007, he was governed the Gaza strip.He lived in Qatar until his assassination in 2017.In  al-Shati refugee camp where the Ismail haniyeh is born it is the place of Egyptian control the Gaza Strip in 1963.He did his bachelor degree in Arabic literature from islamic university of Gaza in 1987.He was participated in protest and went to jail for against the Israeli occupation. He went to Lebanon then,after 1 year later he comes back to Gaza  Islamic University after he was released from jail. He was appointed as head of Hamas office in 1997. 


Ismail haniyeh won the Palestinian legislative election in 2006 when he was head of Hamas.He also become the prime minister of the state of Palestine for his protest against the Israeli occupation.but the Mahmoud Abbas the Palestinian president removed haniyeh from office in 14 June 2007.


Ismail haniyeh didn't acknowledge the Abbas for dismissed from office.he was head of the Gaza strip role as president till replaced from Yahya sinwar.He was prime minister from 2006 to February 2017 of Hamas. He was elected as a chairman of political bure au by replacing of Khaled Mashal on 6 may 2017. At the time he relocated to Qatar from Gaza strip. In late 2023 it was a start of Israel hamas war at that time israel tell the intention towards they are Hamas leaders.Its the time of Israeli airstrike in the Gaza strip when his  three sons and three grandchildren are killed.Karim khan the prosecutor of the international crime court, announce the arrest warrant for haniyeh and other Hamas leader .

Because of war crimes and crimes against humanity as per the Icc investigation in Palestine . Haniyeh was assassinated for the alleged of Israeli strike in his residence of Tehran during the visit to Iran on 31 July 2024.
